Rights: every user.
Location: the filter bar at the top of each dashboard page, under the page title.
Narrow what your dashboards show to the surveys, segments, tags or respondents you care about. Your filters follow you from page to page and apply to your exports.
Add a filter
- Click
+in the filter bar.
- Choose a filter type in the list. A filter type already in use is greyed out.
- Select one or more values. Use the search field to find a value in a long list.
- Wait for the figures to refresh: every change reloads the indicators.
To remove a filter, click the cross on it. To clear all filters, click Reset.
How filters combine
- Between two filters, the logic is AND. Each filter you add narrows the results.
- Inside one filter, the logic is OR. If you filter on the segment Zone and select AMERICAS and EMEA, you see the responses from either zone.
Filter by segment
- Open the Segments entry of the
+menu and choose a segment.
- Choose an operator:
is,is not,contains,does not contain,is emptyoris not empty.
- Select the values.
Paste several values at once
When a segment has many values, paste them in one go instead of selecting them one by one.
- Click the value field (
+) of the segment filter to open the list.
- Paste your values in the search field, separated by commas or semicolons, with no space:
Chrome;Edge.
- Click Select 2 matching values. The number depends on your list. The matching values are added to the filter.
When you paste:
- Use one separator in a list, commas or semicolons, not both.
- Do not add spaces around the values or the separators.
Chrome;Edgeworks,Chrome; Edgedoes not.
- Values are not case sensitive.
- A value that does not exist in the segment is ignored, with no message. Check the values added to your filter.
- Pasting works with
is,is not, containsanddoes not contain. Withcontainsanddoes not contain, there is no predefined list, so you can type any text.
- You can paste up to 50 values at a time.

Good to know
- Your filters stay on when you change page. They stay the same and the logic does not change. Some filters are more relevant on some pages than others.
- Filters are cleared when you refresh the page. To find a combination again later, save it as a search. See Untitled.
- The date range and the comparison are not filters. They stay on after a refresh and are set separately. See Untitled.
- Exports follow your filters. What you export matches what you see.
- Long filter bar. Click
Show less filtersto collapse it.
- Hidden segments. An admin can hide a whole segment from the filter list in the admin Segments page. Hiding a single value is not possible.
Troubleshooting
The indicators show "Not enough data" or 0.
No response matches all your filters. Remove one, or widen the date range. The export button of the block stays disabled until data appears.
My results shrank when I added a filter.
Filters combine with AND, so each new filter narrows the results.
My filters disappeared after I refreshed the page.
Filters are not kept after a refresh. Save the combination as a search to apply it again in one click.
A segment I expect is missing from the list.
An admin may have hidden it in the Segments page. Ask an admin.
I cannot add the same filter twice.
Each filter type exists once. To look at several values, select them all inside the same filter.
Some of the values I pasted were not added.
A value that does not exist in the segment is ignored without a message. Check the spelling, and make sure there is no space around the values or the separators.
