Use Summary to read what customers say about a tag

Who can use this feature

Rights: the feature is enabled for your company by Diduenjoy, then an administrator grants access to the user roles that need it.

Location: the Text analytics page, on any tag table

Setup: at least 20 responses in the scope you want to summarise.

Overview

Knowing that delivery is your worst-scoring tag tells you where to look, not what to fix. Reading the three hundred comments behind it does, and nobody has the afternoon. Summary reads them for you and returns a structured summary: an overview, the topics it found with a sentiment indicator on each, and real customer quotes to back them up. You generate it on the scope you have already filtered, as many times as you need.

Generate a summary on a tag

Below 20 responses no summary is produced, since there is not enough material to say anything reliable. Generation is tuned for up to 8,500 responses, and above that volume the analysis is more accurate if you split it, by period or by filter, rather than asking for one summary over everything.
  1. Set your scope first. The summary covers the verbatims in your current period and filters, so set them before you generate.
  1. Open the summary on the tag you care about. In a tag table, hover the line of the tag and click the star icon that appears. The summary is generated on the spot.
  1. Read it against your own knowledge. The summary opens on a global overview of the feedback, then lists the topics it identified, each with a sentiment indicator, green for positive, grey for neutral, red for negative, and a representative sample of customer quotes. It is written in your dashboard language, whatever language the comments were left in. Read the quotes alongside the conclusions: they are there so you can check that the summary matches what your customers actually said.
  1. Keep it, and tell us if it helped. The copy button takes the summary out of the dashboard, and the thumbs up and thumbs down control tells us whether it was useful, which is what we use to improve the quality of the next ones.

What this feature does not do

  • A summary is generated on request and stays in the dashboard. It is not exported and not included in digests, so the copy button is the only way to take one with you.
  • The analysis runs on the text of the comments. It does not process personal data, and your data is never used for anything beyond the summary you asked for.
  • A summary is an analytical aid, not a verdict. Decisions based on it stay yours, which is why the quotes are there to be checked.
